Celebrate with Philip Glass and COT! COT’s End of Season Gala involves surprise guest Philip Glass!

April 12, 2016 (Chicago) –Chicago Opera Theater announces that Philip Glass will attand the 2017 annual gala on April 30, following the closing performance of Glass’ opera “The Perfect American.”

The gala event is at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance, Sunday, April 30, at 5:30 p.m. Gala dinner guests will have access to a VIP cocktail reception followed by dinner on the Harris stage amidst “The Perfect American” set, featuring delicious food and drinks, enjoyable performances, and the chance to win exciting silent auction prizes.

A Special Honoree will be James Ginsburg, president and founder of Cedille Records

Featured performers at the gala include soprano Patrice Michaels and pianist Kung-Hao Huang. Tickets to the Gala dinner will be sold separately from performance tickets. Guests must purchase a Gala ticket or sponsorship in order to attend the on stage dinner.

Patrons who currently have tickets to the April 22nd performance and would like to change the tickets to April 30th are welcome to do so.
